Rules

These are our server rules. There are more details listed out in the rules found in discord, but these are simple versions that can be an easier reference point if needed. These rules may be subject to change at any time, as we find things that need adjusting!

OOC Rules

1. 18+ only server
Jokes/commentary may be darker/mature. This is not an open invitation for flirting.

2. No Hate Speech
Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, sexual harassment, religious intolerance, or any hate speech are not acceptable.

3. No Harassment
Targeted insults, unwanted contact, sexual harassment, etc are not allowed. Do not share personal info without consent. Do not threaten players in any way.

4. Roleplay First, Avoid Toxicity
If someone offers RP, engage and reciprocate at all times. Do not bring conflict OOC (Bleeding). Do not attempt isolation campaigns.

5. Check for Consent
Dark/mature plotlines involving torture, kidnapping, stalking, etc are allowed- but consent must be given OOC first. DM or use /ooc to check for consent before initiating anything dark.

6. No Metagaming / Stream Sniping
Anything you learn OOC is not applicable in character. Do NOT watch streams unless ALONE in city. Do not talk about criminal activities on our Discord.

7. Multiple Characters
You can create up to 5 characters. You cannot transfer items, money, OR information between character lives. Only ONE character may be in a gang.

8. No Backseat Moderation
Do not correct a rule publicly. Put in a ticket in discord, or use /report in city.

9. Naming Characters
Usernames and player names should not include slurs, offensive content, or impersonation.

10. Real Life Themes
RP should not include suicide, self harm, real life religion, real politics, active sexual assault, or real world events.

11. Supernatural RP
You can play as a supernatural character, but all supernatural plotlines or powers must be cleared with an admin. If you have no powers or plotlines and functionally act as a fancy human, you're fine.

Roleplay Guidelines

1. No NVL / Not Valuing Life
Roleplay as if your life is real, and this is not a game. If someone points a gun at you, put your hands up. Don't jump off of buildings expecting to just be okay. RP realistically.

2. No RDM / VDM
Do not randomly kill/drive into players for no reason. Even if you HAVE a reason, you must start combat by calling out to another player. ANY INTENTIONAL USE OF YOUR CAR AS A WEAPON AGAINST A PLAYER ON FOOT IS CONSIDERED VDM. Get out of your car and use a gun.

3. Stay In Character
As long as you are in the city, try to stay in character. Try to refer to out of character things in an in character way, if you must.

4. Medical RP Rules
If you have been hurt, try to RP it, do not talk casually as if nothing has happened. If you think your character would be unconscious, use /me to describe injuries/breathing/etc to medical help or others.

5. No Powergaming / Combat Logging
Do not force outcomes without chances for players to interact in some way. Do not log out in the middle of combat. Do not force plotlines onto people without making sure they're okay with them OOC first.

6. No Pocket / Stash Wiping
Robbing players is allowed, but do not loot everything a person is carrying. Do not steal everything from their stashes. A good rule of thumb is to take a few valuables, and leave.

7. No War-Godding
There is a way to punch people faster than they can react in combat. It's called sprint punching, or war-godding. This is considered powergaming, and should not be used.

8. Unrealistic Use of Mechanics
Game mechanics are not to be used to break yourself out of RP scenarios, or in an unrealistic way. If there is a mechanical advantage that you are aware of from GTA, and inappropriately use that to do something you usually cannot, this is a bannable offence.

A good example of this is using /ccam to hear people from far away or inside of buildings. If you CANNOT hear them from your location, you CANNOT use something to boost your capabilities of doing so. You also cannot use emotes to walk yourself through walls and break into locations you otherwise couldn't be. Just be smart!

Criminal Activities

1. No crime within 30 min before or after server restart
If you have already started a crime, you may finish it, but you cannot start new crimes. Don't start something RIGHT after storm.

2. Conflict/Crime Regulation
Maximum numbers for a bigger heist is 6. Maximum for turf wars is 6 to initiate an attack. Defenders may bring in reinforcements, only to match the number of attackers present.

You may only bring as many people to a normal city crime as you can fit in the car. If it's a 2 seater, only 2. If it's a 4 seater with a trunk, you may bring 5. You may carry your hostage to the location.

3. Gang Limits
Currently the max amount of gang members is 6. This may increase, but do not keep people in reserve to join your gang once the limit increases, as there is no time limit for increase.

4. Robberies (Stores, not People)
Your group may only rob ONE THING PER HOUR. Do not intentionally set up multiple robberies at once. Do not take your gang members hostage, and try to find someone that is not your friend to take. Cops MUST be allowed to search before the chase, even if there is only one present, you must wait. You get one demand per hostage, and safe passage off premises is a guarantee.

5. No Face No Case
If a criminal is wearing a mask, you cannot be sure of who they are. Half masks count, as do masks that only cover the front of the head but not the hair. If you wear the same mask enough times publicly for it to be associate with you as a person, you MAY be identified by your mask.

6. Changing after Crime
After escaping from cops, you cannot change at the CLOSEST clothing store. Leave the area first. If you do NOT change after committing a crime, you may be associated to previous crimes in that outfit, if they recognize that outfit. Do NOT use a civilian business to change clothes from crime.

7. Heisting
Only people involved in a heist may be on heist radio. You cannot leave to heal and return. You cannot stash heist rewards in vehicles without completing the heist or leaving. You may only leave a heist for materials while learning it, if you know how to do it and forget, consider it a failure.

8. Greenzones
In these locations you may NOT have any situations involving weapons, kidnapping, robberies, etc, by city law. So far, this only includes the PD and Hospital.

Businesses

1. General Business Rules
Do NOT stash illegal items inside of your business. They will be removed. ONE Gas station is allowed per group of people. You cannot own a gas station if you own another business.

You may not blacklist individuals from your place of business unless they have done something on the premises to cause issues. You personally may refuse service to an individual if they have done something to you in character, but you cannot preemptively blacklist them from the location.

You may participate in criminal activities as a business owner or as an employee. Business owners are free to regulate this if they would like to, but do not have to.

2. Restaurants
There is a maximum order limit of 5 food and 5 drink per customer, to avoid stockpiling. Bulk orders for businesses/events may be done separately. If you own a RESTAURANT, you cannot create alcoholic drinks. If you own a BAR/CLUB you may only use up to 2 ingredients for non alcoholic food/drink. If you are a BAR/CLUB you may also not create bulk food plans with largescale organizations, only bulk alcoholic sales.

You cannot be hired to multiple restaurants, including bars/clubs. You cannot take free food from the restaurant, you must pay for it. You may only use up to 8 items per recipe, with 4 being average, and may create up to 20 recipes.

3. Mechanic Shops
If you clock into a mechanic job, you disable basic repair stations, so be available on call for repairs if needed. You do not have to stay on location, but do need to make sure the phone is answered. Do not apply weapons/armor to vehicles. You cannot repair your own vehicle for free. You cannot work at multiple mechanic shops.

Miscellaneous

1. Ocean Dumping
You must dump someone in deeper water, not close to shore, for it to count. If you have been dumped, you CANNOT call a boat medevac to save you, or call a general EMS worker. You must respawn. You CAN investigate, but you cannot recall details of the event, faces, who was involved, anything of that sort. You must investigate by using tracks left behind, on social media, or rumors that you hear afterwards.

2. Civilian Jobs
Do not use civilian job locations to hide from police. Do not turn in job cars to avoid police intervention, if you are being chased. Do not use civilian job outfits as a way to change clothing and avoid cops knowing it's you.

3. Graffiti
Keep images used appropriate, no NSFW, act accordingly. If you're in a battle of turf, you can spray over another gang's tag with scene placement or other things, but you cannot remove tags until the turf war is over and you have locked down the area.

If you are the owner or manager of a building or business that has been tagged, you may wash tags off of the building or surrounding area. You may also report graffiti to the police.

You should NOT be using /ccam to create sprays. You must find a creative alternative to reach the spot you would like to spray.
